Degree v/s Diploma Indian Perspective

Here in India, a lot of importance are given to degree program whereas a diploma is considered a shortcut to  education. But if go to see in actual terms; it really doesn't matter. May be degree is good if one is considering an immediate master’s degree & subsequently Doctorate post bachelor’s degree. But if one wants a make a career Diploma is a good option. It really really doesn't matter whether it's degree or diploma what matters is the curriculum, delivery pattern & course content to your career a successful. Take an examples of IIMs, NID, NIFT etc; the prominent institutions in India, offering diplomas which is one of the best in the country. The Institution itself hold a great importance & matters as they have created a brand in themselves over a period of time through their education quality & the kind of end product produced in the form of excellent professional..

So I strongly feel we should give equal importance to degree & diploma.
